The Grand Prairie Herald launched in 1901, more than 125 years ago. It has had several owners over the years, including a long stint by the Woods-Bradow family who guided The Grand Prairie Herald for more than 70 years.

The current owner is Roby Brock, CEO of Newsroom Ventures and Natural State Media. Newsroom Ventures is the holding company for The Grand Prairie Herald and several other weekly newspapers, including The England Democrat, The Fordyce News Advocate, The Waldron News, and The Glenwood Herald. Natural State Media is the holding company for Talk Business & Politics and The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal.

The Grand Prairie Herald is published weekly and distributed on Tuesdays.
