After a 10-6 conference finish, the Des Arc Lady Eagles went 1-1 in the 2A-6 district tournament at the Eagles Nest, ending their season shy of making the regional tournament.
Des Arc beat Hazen in the first round of the tournament on Feb. 17.
Against Hazen, Des Arc led 9-7 after one quarter. Hazen outscored Des Arc 9-7 in the second quarter to tie the game at 16-16 at halftime.
Des Arc outscored Hazen by five in both the third and fourth quarters.
Kaylee McDonald led Des Arc with 16 points. Emma Buckner had 15. Allison Collins had four. MJ Sutterfield had three. Scoring two each were Ava Smith, Marley Widener and Ireland Saul.
Calle Gray led Hazen with 12 points. Jalynn Thomas had eight. Isabelle Gray had five. Kayleigh Linder and Addie Carroll had three points each. Melody Schlenker had two.
Des Arc then lost to Carlisle 43-30 in a game that could have sent Des Arc into the regional tournament.
Carlisle led 14-10 after one quarter and 18-13 at halftime. The Lady Bison outscored the Lady Eagles 13-7 in the third quarter and 12-10 in the fourth quarter to get the win.
