For the 15th season in a row, the Carlisle Lady Bison have qualified for the regional tournament.
Carlisle beat Des Arc 43-30 in the quarterfinal round of the 2A-6 district tournament last week at Des Arc High School.
The last time Carlisle did not make the regional was the 2010-11 season. Carlisle has made postseason play 30 of the past 31 seasons.
Carlisle coach Kylie Smith was a player on four of the teams that played in the regional. This is her second season as head coach.
“I am blessed to have been part of this streak as both a player and now a coach,” Smith said. “I’m grateful to help continue something that so many before us worked hard to build.”
In the win over Des Arc, Carlisle led 14-10 after one quarter and 18-13 at halftime. The Lady Bison outscored the Lady Eagles 13-7 in the third quarter and 12-10 in the fourth quarter to get the win.
Bliss Parker led Carlisle with 11 points. Presley Parker and Caroline Bokker had eight points each. Tyler Lee had seven. McKenna Ellis had four. Angie Petrus and Adisun Golden had two points each. Adaley Ellis had one.
Carlisle lost to Barton 57-24 in the semifinals.

Carlisle will be the third seed in the Class 2A Region 3 Tournament this week at White County Central High School in Judsonia. The Lady Bison will play South Side Bee Branch in the first round of the tournament Thursday at 4 p.m. Carlisle is the third seed from the 2A-6 wile South Side is the second seed form the 2A-5.
