William “Scott” Raper, 39, of Little Rock departed this life on December 25, 2025, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark.

Scott was born on September 10, 1986 in Searcy, Ark., to Sandra “Kay” and Ronnie Raper of Hazen, Ark. Scott attended Hazen High School, Harding University, and the William H. Bowen School of Law.

Scott worked as an Attorney Specialist for DHS Office of General Counsel.

Scott is survived by his mother. Sandra “Kay” Raper of Hazen, Ark.; sister, Laura Raper Jones (Justin); brother, Michael Ferguson of Scott, Ark.; three aunts; three uncles; three nephews; one niece; numerous cousins and friends; and his beloved dog, Oliver.

Scott is preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Lamar Raper; sister, Renee Raper Red; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Carolyn Ferguson; his paternal grandparents, Lamar and Mary Helen Raper; his uncles, Richard Ferguson and Randy Raper; and aunt, Cory Raper.

A small service for immediate family only was held on January 10, 2026.

In lieu of gifts/flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Little Rock Animal Village in Scott’s name.
