Carlisle school superintendent B.J. Greene was re-hired with a three-year contract at the January 12, 2026, school board meeting on a unanimous vote. The contract will run from June 2026-2029.
With January designated as School Board Appreciation Month, the board was treated to a special dinner and a video from the elementary classes expressing their appreciation.
Elementary school principal Dr. Hope Bratton reported on interim testing for elementary as well as high impact tutoring. The tutoring program is sponsored through a grant and provides highly qualified teachers to spend three days a week with 64 students giving individualized instruction. The program will end just before testing in the spring.
The board passed the updated cybersecurity policy as required by the state. All school board members have received their required hours of professional development.
Bids have been placed for the State 2A basketball tournament and the Regional baseball and softball tournaments.
Students of the Month for the elementary school are Trace Chambers, 1st grade and Roselaine
Kendrick, 6th grade. The Teacher of the Month is Julie Kittler and the High School Student of the Month is Brodie Martin.
